An ambition

By positioning itself at the heart of the drawing week, Illustrate converges the calendar of the Ninth Art with that of the art market.

In addition to this, you will need to know more about it.

As the year of comics takes place in 2020, the event intends to contribute to the consecration of comics, too long confined to the fringes of the art world, as an essential medium for contemporary creation. This initiative, resolutely oriented towards collectors and enthusiasts, is conceived as a judicious complement to existing festivals, in particular Angoulême.

EMPLACEMENT

A place

For its first edition, the showroom will be held at Galerie Joseph, at 116 rue de Turenne, five minutes from the Carreau du Temple (Drawing Now).

Under a large glass roof inherited from an industrial past, the premises offer nearly 1000m2 in luxury fittings. Spread over two levels in different atmospheres, the large volumes of the Galerie Joseph will offer participants an ideal setting, both intimate and spectacular, to meet amateurs and collectors while respecting the health rules in force.

Three sectors

dedicated to broadcasters and creators

Illustrate will host around fifty proposals, providing a broad panorama, from historical and vintage boards, to the most contemporary creation, in two distinct sections. in order to offer amateurs a diversity of choice in terms of eras, styles and prices.Open to specialized or general galleries, publishing and auction houses, and independent designers, the event will welcome all players in the Comic Strip market, in two specific sections
